Welcome to The Pantry - the new home for all my tips, tricks and inside knowledge. My hope is that whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned pro, there’s something in here for you - from quick hacks to top products and ingredients.

First things first, I’ll give you a bit of background about me. I am not a trained cook. I’ve never even worked in hospitality, except for a brief spell waitressing when I was about 15. I am entirely self-taught and everything I know comes from research, trial & error and practice. With a degree in chemical engineering and a love for maths & logic, I love the science of cooking - the formulas behind to creating flavour, balancing textures and so on.

It’s an ol’ cliché but truly, if I can do it, anyone can. I’m not special. I’m just a hungry girlie with a love for food and a love for feeding people.
